    The theory test is currently split into a question and answer part and a hazard perception part.

    The question part of the test consists of multiple choice questions on a touch screen.
    There is a practice session available for this to take first. For cars and motorcycles you will be asked 50 questions in 57 minutes and the pass mark is 43 out of 50.

    The hazard perception part of the test involves you watching 14 video clips each lasting about a minute. You have to respond to each hazard by clicking the mouse as the hazard develops. Up to five marks can be scored for each hazard. The earlier a response is made the higher the score. You are not penalised for clicking on insignificant hazards. The pass mark for this section is 44 out of 75.
